A very corroded, incomplete silver-plated contemporary copper-alloy copy of a 2nd- to early 3rd-century Roman denarius of uncertain ruler, probable standing figure reverse, uncertain mint (c. 100 - c. 225 AD). There is evidence of crimping at the edge of the coin. As well as suffering abrasions at the circumference around a fifth of the flan has been lost due to an old break.

The coin appears to have been hammered, possibly for re-use with a different function or simply as raw material, resulting in old breaks along three sides. The reverse is completely illegible and has flattened areas where it has been struck. The obverse is equally poorly preserved, although the top of a probable bust facing right is visible. It is lileky to date to the 1st or 2nd century AD.
