An incomplete copper-alloy Roman sestertius of unclear ruler, possibly an empress (Faustina I?), dating to the late-1st to 2nd centuries AD, c.AD 41-260. Unclear reverse type depiciting a standing figure left(?), S-[C] in the field. Probably mint of Rome. The coin appears to have been deliberately cut in half, a large notch to one edge of the flan perhaps indiciating more than one attempt was made to cut the coin.
