A complete copper alloy styca dating to the period AD 830 to 867.
The obverse depicts a central cross surrounded by the legend which reads X HAIREIH. The obverse depicts a central ring and dot motif surrounded by the legend which reads X MONNE in retrograde and refers to the moneyer. The coin may be a contemporary imitation due to the nonsensical legend on the obverse which does not refer to any of the Northumbrian rulers under which Monne struck coins.
