An early medieval copper alloy coin; a Northumbrian styca of Eanred (AD 810 - 840), dating from Phase 1a or 1b (AD 810 - 835). The obverse has central annulet and pellet (type 6); the legend is clear and reads EANRED REX. The reverse also has a central annulet (type 6) and a clear legend of +DAECBERCT, who is the moneyer.

An early medieval copper alloy coin; a styca from Northumbria from either Pirie group B or C, dating from AD 810 - 835. Both obverse and reverse have a type 1 central cross. The legends are in large, clear letters where unworn; both legends are retrograde. The obverse reads +ERDVA(D)H; reverse reads +HVA[...]RD.
The reverse legend may relate to the moneyer Huæetred (or Hwætræd). The obverse legend is unclear as to whom it may relate to, but Huæetred minted for Eanred (AD 810 - 840).
