Copper alloy coin. Northumbrian styca, issue possibly of Eardwulf (796-806); this reporter is unsure of both the identification and the speculative readings offered here. ?Obverse description: Plain cross with ball end to one arm; the opposite arm extended and barred to form cross in legend. ?Obverse inscription: +E[?]I WVLF ?Reverse description: Larger central pellet with four smaller pellets around it; outer ring of pellets ?Reverse inscription: +VWFN Diameter: 11.7mm, Weight: 0.67gms
