An early medieval silver early penny (sceat) of Eadbhert of Northumbria (737-758), Booth group B, mint: Northumbria (probably York and/or East Riding). Ref: Booth 1984: figure 1; Naismith 2017: 116-17.
The flan is encrusted, especially on the obverse, and the is a chip at the edge of the coin, roughly semi-circular in shape.
