A Medieval Scottish silver halfpenny of Alexander III. The coin is very worn. A cross sceptre is still visible on the left but the rest of the image is worn away on the obverse. The legend is illegible except for a letter "E" The reverse has four quadrants separated by a long cross. Two of the opposite segments have a six pointed star each with a perforation in the centre. The legend is illegible.
