VENER[I] VICT reverse type depicting Venus, draped, standing left, raising up right hand holding apple and holding sceptre in left hand. Eastern Mint (Emesa or Laodicea). RIC IV.1, p. 176, nos. 630-631 The coin has a diameter of 17.6mm, Thickness 2.3mm and Weight 2.00g. When found it was encrusted with a hard, black, tar-like substance.
