Roman Coin: Very worn struck or hammered copper alloy coin. Based on the size and the presence of traces of a radiate headdress the coin is a dupondius. Although worn the head is clearly bearded with curly hair and a long neck, possibly Lucius Verus. The reverse is too worn to decipher. Based on the attribution to Lucius Verus the coin has been tentatively dated in line with the dates of his reign AD.161-169.
