Sestertius of either (probably) Marcus Aurelius (139-180 AD) or possibly Antonninus Pius (138-161 AD). The uncertainity is due to the wear on the coin and the subsequent loss of inscriptions. The identification has been achieved on the style of the beard.

A relatively poorly preserved and much corroded copper alloy as of Marcus Aurelius as Caesar, dating to AD 154-5 (Reece Period 5), TR POT VIIII COS S C, Mars advancing right with spear and trophy. Mint of Rome. RIC III, p. 184, no. 1322. This is a coin of British Association, struck in Rome for issue in Britain, as listed by D. Walker in his study of the Sacred Spring in Bath (Walker 1988, pp. 295, 299, nos. 382-435, pl. XXXVIII).
