A corroded copper-alloy Roman as, probably of Marcus Aurelius as Caesar under Antoninus Pius, dating to the period AD 154-155 (Reece period 7). Reverse type probably depicting Mars walking right holding spear and trophy. Mint of Rome. Cf. RIC III, p. 184, no. 1322. This is possibly a Coin of British Association as listed by D. Walker in his report on the Sacred Springs at Bath (Walker, 1988: pp. 295, 299, nos. 382-435, pl. XXXVIII).

A copper-alloy Roman sestertius of Marcus Aurelius (AD 161-180) as Caesar under Antoninus Pius, dating to the period AD 156-159 (Reece period 7). Reverse type depicting Spes or Fortuna left, holding skirt, and with uncertain object in right hand, S-C in the field. Mint of Rome. Cf. BMC p.343 no. 2031, p.356 no. 2082 for the reverse type.
Die axis is 6 o'clock. Weight is 18.83g. diameter is 30.7mm, thickness is 5.2mm.
