A cast copy of a copper-alloy medallion of Marcus Aurelius as Caesar (AD 138-61), struck at 'Rome' AD 155-6 (Reece Period 7). Obverse: AVRELIVS CAESAR AVG PII FIL TR P X COS II; Bare-headed and draped right Reverse: Anepigraphic: Minerva standing left with shield behind, holding out right hand towards Vulcan seated right, holding thunderbolt. Between them, anvil on pedestal. cf.
