A Roman silver coin: a denarius of Titus dating from AD 79 (Reece period 4). Reverse legend TR POT VIII COS VII, the reverse depicting Venus standing, facing right, leaning on a column and holding helmet and transverse spear. Rome mint. The coin is struck on an oval flan that is 18mm long, 15.8mm wide and 2mm thick. It weighs 2.59gm. References: RIC Volume II, number 205 and Sear, volume 1, number 2448.
