COS ITER TR POT reverse depicting Pax, draped, seated left, holding branch in extended right hand and winged caduceus in left. Prototype of the mint of Rome, dating to AD 70, cf. RIC II (2nd ed.), p. 60, no. 29. The base (copper-alloy) core is visible beneath the plated silver surfaces, particularly around the edges of the flan.

A silver denarius of the Emperor Vespasian. The obverse has a laurelled bust facing right surrounded by the inscription [IMP]CAESAR VESPASIANVS AV[G]. The reverse is less clear and covered in a dark patina, but appears to show a tripod with s-shaped mark above and similar to the right, and the only letters visible are [ ]COS[ ] in the upper right quadrant. Diameter 18 mm, thickness 1.5 to 2mm, weight 2.62 g.
