Krause and Mishler, Standard Catalogue of World Coins 1701 - 1800, page 134, KM# 616.1 (third edition). This publication states that this type was struck between 1771-1785, but with a frozen date of 1771.

A worn post-medieval silver Danish two skilling coin of Christian VII (1749 - 1808) dated on the coin but unread. Mint uncertain, Copenhagen or Altona. The coin dates to 1776-85. The edge of the coin is ragged in places and it has a corroded iron rivet piercing the surface at 9 o'clock on the obverse/ 3 o'clock on the reverse. The rivet measures 3.5mm in diameter and 3.3mm in length. It obscures the second part of the date to the reverse (the first half of the date unread due to wear).
