A post-Medieval silver coin which has been reused as a love token. It is a polished and bent sixpence of Queen Anne (AD 1702 - 1714), dating from AD 1707- 1708, minted at Edinburgh. The reverse is polished smooth, and the coin has been bent into an S shaped profile. It is 20.4mm in diameter and 0.5mm thick. It weighs 2.26g. See Spink's Standard Catalogue (2011, 384) number 3621.

A complete gold Touch Piece of Ann (AD 1702-1714). Obverse depicts the Archangel St. Michael slaying a dragon, SOL DE GLORIA. The reverse depicts a ship under sail, ANNA.DG.M.BR/T.ETH.REG . The object has a single circular perforation at 12 O'clock Touch Pieces were touched by the monarch and used by an individual (in this instance as a pendant or medallion) to pass the heeling of an individual via the touch of a monarch without the monarch coming into physical contact with the afflicted individual. Diameter: 21.18mm, Thickness: 0.71mm, Weight: 3.0g.
