An extremely worn post-medieval white metal contemporary forgery of a half crown of William III (1694-1702).
Obverse: laureate bust right; legend [GVLIEL]MVS.[ III. DEI. GRA]. Reverse: illegible.
Measurements: diameter 33.45mm, thickness 1.81mm, weight 9.00g.
This example is the right size but is lighter than the official issues of around 15g, a trait often seen on forgeries of the period. Other examples of contemporary half crown William III forgeries recorded on the PAS database include: WAW-0DF698 and SUSS-9941E6.

A Post-Medieval silver plated forgery of a halfcrown of William III (1696-1702), dating to AD 1697-1701 copying a London issue. Very good forgery, silver plate on white metal, as Spink 3475.
The reverse is partiuclarly worn and has crack in the silver plating.
