A complete but bent post-Medieval silver sixpence of Elizabeth I (1558-1603), minted at London and dated 1591 on coin. Initial marks: hand/hand (North 1991: 137, ref: 2015). Obverse: ELIZAB.D.G.ANG.FR.ET.HIB REGI, Crowned bust facing left with a rose behind the head. Reverse: POSVI/DEV.AD/IVTORE/M.MEV (I have made God my Helper), Square shield on long cross fourchée dividing the inscription with 1591 above shield. Diameter: 25.7mm. Weight: 2.91g. DA=12:5. The coin is bent at an angle of about 100°.
