A complete post-Medieval cast white metal sixpence of Elizabeth I (1558-1603). Initial mark: 2, dated 1602 on coin (North 1991: 137, ref: 2015). Obverse: ELIZAB.D:G.ANG.FR.ET.HIB.REGI; Crowned bust left with a rose behind the head Reverse: POSVI:/DEV:AD/IVTORE/M:MEVM (I have made God my Helper); Square shield on long cross fourchée dividing the inscription with date of 1602 above shield Diameter: 25.7mm; thickness: 1.2mm.
