A Post Medieval silver threepence of Elizabeth I (1558-1603). The coin was minted at the tower mint in London between 1573-1578 AD. The date above the shield on the reverse is worn but is probably 1575. The initial mark is an elegantine. North; English Hammered Coinage Vol2 (1991); p135 No.1998.
