The coin is preserved in fairly good condition, though some encrustations are visible on both the obverse and reverse faces.

A worn and corroded copper-alloy Roman radiate of 'Divus' Claudius (AD 268-270, Reece period 13). 'PAX AVGUSTI' reverse, with Pax standing left holding branch and transverse sceptre, probable Rome mint (cf. Normanby 1128-9). This coin is missing much of the legend on both sides due to moderate circumferential losses.
