A complete, pierced medieval silver shilling of Edward VI (AD 1547-1553) dating to the third period, 1551-3. I.m Tun. London mint. North (1991:123) no. 1937. In addition to a complete perforation, the coin has a small incomplete, piercing made on the obverse and visible on the reverse. The reverse has crossed etchings in two of the quarters as well as two almost parallel lines.
