A worn and clipped silver long-cross penny of Henry VI (AD 1422 - 1461). The obverse is heavily worn, making all details indecipherable. The reverse presents a long-cross through the centre with three pellets in each quadrant. At the centre of the cross are two rings which indicate a Durham mint. No details of the legend are decipherable due to clipping and wear. Reference: Wren, C.R, (1995). The English Long-Cross Pennies 1279-1489. pp. 56 and 117-120.
