A complete Medieval silver penny of Edward III (1327-1377), minted at London. Initial mark: cross 1. Series C, 1351-1352 (North 1991: 50, ref: 1149). Obverse: EDWARD REX ANGLI (annulet stops, wedge-tailed Rs, N with reversed bar), Crowned bust facing with a bifoliate crown. Reverse: CIVI/TAS/LON/DON (reversed bars to Ns), Long cross dividing the inscription with three pellets in each quadrant, an annulet in each quadrant. Diameter: 19.0mm. Weight: 1.01g. DA=12:11. North, J. J. 1991. English Hammered Coinage, Volume II, Edward I to Charles II, 1272-1662. Spink & Son, London.

Silver long cross penny of Edward III (1327-1377), Class 15d (1327-1344) with lombardic 'n' and initial cross appears to have pellet in the middle, as in Withers (2006) on page 43, Class 15d, and in Spink 1528, which suggests it is Canterbury mint but the mint name is too worn after CIVITAS on the reverse.
