A Medieval silver long cross penny, possibly Edward III, king facing forward. The coin has become very worn and the obverse is almost entirely worn away with exception to the top section. The reverse is clearer with only half the coin worn and a visible quatrefoil in center and three pellets in four segments. The legend, although slightly cleaner is still not readable. There is a cross pattee initial mark at the top of the obverse. Obverse: "ED [...]"

Silver coin. Probably a lightly clipped long cross penny, possibly class 15d issue for Edward III (1327-1377) of 1327-1343, of Durham mint. The coin appears to have been deliberately defaced with a small punch, as was another reported along with it - the only coins from the group. Obverse description: [facing bust]. Counter-stamped overall obliterating obverse. Reverse description: Long cross, three pellets in each angle, possible crozier end to long cross at 12 O'clock.
