A silver penny, probably of Edward III, third 'Florin' coinage c.1344-1351 AD. This coin appears to be from the Reading mint, as confirmed by Dr. John Naylor (PAS Finds Advisor) and Prof. Nick Mayhew (Ashmolean Museum), which is extremely rare for pennies of Edward III. However, a close attribution of class is problematic due to poor preservation of the obverse face. Similar to North no. 1129.
