A copper alloy with silver wash clipped medieval contemporary copy of a penny from Edward III-(1327-1377). Probably minted in York. The reverse has a pellet at the centre of the main cross, which is a feature of some pennies of Canterbury and York of class 15d and of Durham from the pre-treaty Series A. The coin is also clipped, such that no inscription is present on either side. Quite worn, especially on the obverse - the portrait is very unclear. Obv. Crowned portrait facing.
