A very worn medieval Penny. Alaistair Wardle kindly identifies this as an issue of Edward III (1327-1377). Only a crowned bust is visible on the obverse and the reverse has a quatrefoil in the centre of the long cross. The quatrefoil in the centre of the reverse would point to it being from the York Archiepiscopal mint.
