A silver penny probably of Edward III dating to the period AD 1363 - 1377. Treaty series B or later. Long cross with quatrefoil centre reverse. Mint of York. Carl Savage comments that this could also be an early coin of Richard II penny as there appears to be a worn mark on the breast, and no marks by shoulders. This cannot be sufficiently determined due to wear.

Silver penny of Edward III (1327-1377). The obverse is very worn, so that the bust is unclear and the inscription is illegible. The reverse is less worn, so that the long cross with three pellets in each quarter is clear, and the quatrefoil with a pellet in the centre is very obvious. Mint of York, with the pellet in the quatrefoil suggesting it was issued by Archbishop Thoresby (North 1228) during the transitional treaty period (1361-1363).
