A Medieval silver Irish penny of Edward I (AD 1272 - 1307), Class 1a-c dating from AD 1279 - 1302. Dublin mint. See Spink's (2003) Coins of Scotland, Ireland and the Islands, number 6246 - 6248 on page 126. Smal parts form the edge of the coin are missing, and there are patches or more pronounced wear. The coin is 19mm diameter, 0.6mm thick and 1.18g.

Silver long-cross penny of Edward I (1272-1307), Canterbury mint, Class 10ab2, c.1301-2. Plain cross as the initail mark, crown as class 9b converted to bifoliate, the letter W is formed from two overlapping letter V's. The coin is full in flan with no cracks, the bust is worn and scratched, the obverse legend is clear. The reverse cross is worn and scratched as are the pellets in the CAN quarter, the reverse legend is clear. Obverse legend: +EDWARD R ANGL DNS hYB.
