A silver hammered cut farthing probably struck for John, dating c. 1204-1210. Class 4 or 5, mint of London, moneyer uncertain. As North 968/970. Cutting of the coin has removed most of the key identifying details, though Slevin's work (2014, 127) suggests that the spelling of the mint signature as 'LV' rather than 'LVN' or 'LVND' is a feature of class 4-5 pieces.
