A Roman (AD 388+) silver siliqua of an unknown ruler measuring 12-14mm and weighing 0.76g (11.6gn). The coin appears to be a contemporary forgery. The obverse is very pitted and coin itself is very clipped and worn.
Obverse: Diademed and draped bust right + ]P F AVG.
Reverse: Roma stood left on cuirass, holding Victory on globe and reversed spear + [VIRVS RO] MANOR[VM.

In a note on these anonymous 4th century half-siliquae, Roger Bland notes that the vota reverse may be significant in terms of the dating of these issues, potentially linking it to the 15th anniversay of Valentinian II (388-389 AD) or the 15th anniversary of Theodosius II (392-393 AD). This coin has been broken, possibly deliberately cut, and has two straight edges. It equates to around a third of the original flan. The fragment measures 9.3mm by 8.2mm and weighs 0.38g.
