Copper alloy Roman coin, probably a contemporary copy of a nummus of the House of Constantine, possibly dating to c. AD 355-61. The obverse bust appears to be diademed. The reverse is an unclear linear pattern, conceivably copying a Chi-Rho type of Magnentius (AD 350-3).

Record ID: FASAM-46EC0F
Object type: COIN
Broad period: ROMAN
County: Lincolnshire
Workflow stage: Published
Copper alloy contemporary copy of a nummus (5mm diameter), probably of the period c. AD 330-402 (Reece Period 18). The obverse is unclear; the reverse shows the bottom part of a figure (Victory?) standing left with part of a mintmark -//R(P/S). This might be a copy of a Theodosian VICTORIA AVGGG Victory type of AD 388-402.
