A worn Roman copper alloy nummus of uncertain ruler dating to AD 296-402. Unclear reverse type. Unclear mint.
Measurements: diameter 11.15mm, thickness 2.74mm, weight 1.64g.
Clipped or cut down radiates and nummi of the later third and fourth century AD are often termed 'minims'. These often-tiny coins continued to circulate after the official withdrawal of Roman administration in c. AD 409, and probably continued to circulate throughout the fifth century AD.
