A silver, slightly bent, Siliqua of Magnus Maximus, AD383-388. AD383-388 (Reece period 20). Reverse legend reads VIRTVS RO-MANORVM. Reverse shows Roma seated facing holding globe and reversed spear. Mint is Trier. See RIC IX, p.29, no.84b.
Obverse shows Pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust right. Obverse legend reads D N MAG MAX-MVS P F AVG. Reverse fields and exergue read: / //TRPS. Condition is very fine, die axis is 6 o'clock, weight is 1.96g, diameter is 18.4mm.
