A copper alloy Roman nummus, probably house of Valentinian, c. 364 - 378 AD. Reece Period 19. The obverse has a diademed bust right and the reverse has the emperor dragging a captive and holding labarum, typical of the GLORIA RO-MANORVM type. The coin is in very poor, worn condition with significant rim fritting and a dark brown/green patina.

A copper alloy Roman numus, probably from the house of Valentinian c. 364 - 378 AD. Reece Period 19. The obverse has a portrait bust right and the reverse has the emperor dragging a captive and holding labarum, typical of the GLORIA RO-MANORVM type. There is no remnant of any legend. The coin is very corroded with significant edge fritting and has a rough mottled brown/green patina.
