A copper alloy Roman coin; a contemporary copy of a radiate (barbarous radiate) probably of Tetricus II, dating from AD 275 - 285 (Reece Period 14). The reverse design is unclear, but shows a clear palm leaf or branch similar to that on number 1898 of the Normanby Hoard. The coin is 18.3mm diameter, 1.6mm thick and 2.17g.

The reverse depicts a possible V shaped vessel or owl on top of an altar, with S C at the sides. Reece Period: 14. Mint: Uncertain. Diameter: 14.5 mm Thickness: 1.8 mm Weight: 1.4 g Coin has been badly worn and has been clipped around the edges.
