A complete silver denarius of Mark Antony, dating to the period 32 to 31 BC (Reece Period 1). The reverse is unclear but probably depicts an eagle flying between two legionary standards. These coins were struck by Mark Antony for the use of his fleet and legions when he was preparing for the struggle with Octavius, which culminated in the Battle of Actium on the 2nd of September, 31 BC (Grueber, 1970, 526). Diameter: 17.3 mm Thickness: 1.7 mm Weight: 2.2 g
