A silver Roman coin; a denarius of Vespasian (AD 69 - 79) dating from AD 72 - 74. Probably VESTA reverse type depicting Vesta holding a simpulum and sceptre. Mint of Rome. See Sear Volume 1, number 2316 on page 438. The coin is 17.3mm diameter, 2.3mm thick and 2.58g.
