A silver Roman coin; an incomplete denarius of Vespasian (AD 69 - 79) dating from about AD 71 (Reece Period 4). TRI POT II COS III P P reverse type depicting Pax seated left holding olive branch and caduceus. Mint of Rome. See Sear Volume I, number 2313 on page 438. The coin is broken with about a quarter missing. Diameter 17.4mm; thickness 1.6mm, weight 2.04g.
