Copper alloy coin. Nummus of Constantius II (323-361) as Caesar, Providentiae Caess issue of 324-330, Trier mint, RIC volume 7 no. 505, issue of 327-328. Pierced at 8 O'clock obverse from that side with a knife tip. The finder ascribes this to reuse as grave furniture in the early Anglo-Saxon period.
Obverse description: Youthful bust laureate draped and cuirassed left; the upper edge of garment is pelleted.
