A corroded and worn copper alloy Roman nummus coin, likely from the reign of Constantine I (AD 306-337), likely from the period AD 313-316 (Reece Period 15). [SOL] [INVIC]TO COMITI reverse type, depicting Sol standing left, chlamys across left shoulder, holding globe and raising right hand. S-F across fields. Similar to RIC VII Lyons 6.
Obverse description: laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right. Heavily worn and somewhat corroded.
Obverse inscription: [CONS]TANT[INV]S [PF] AVG.
Mintmark: PL[…].
Diameter: 22.47mm. Thickness: 1.81mm. Die axis: 7.

Reverse; SOLI INVICTO COMITI, Sol, radiate, standing left holding globe and with right arm outstretched, chlamys over left shoulder. 'T F' across frields, PLG in ex. RIC vol. VII, p. 123, no. 20. The coin is preserved in fair condition, though encrustations cover most of the obverse and reverse faces.
