An incomplete copper-alloy Roman to Early Medieval possible finger ring, dating to AD 300-600. It consists of a strip of metal which tapers towards both ends and it has a sub-rectangular cross-section. The strip is partially folded and possibly it has a transverse groove on the front face. The surfaces are moderately abraded.
The lack of decoration does not allow a closer period identification for the object. For an example of close Roman finger ring see Crummy (1983, p. 48, fig. 50, no. 1773); for Early Medieval examples see West (1998, p. 144, fig. 28, no. 7.1-7.2).
