TREASURE CASE : 2022 T419 Description:  A complete gold posy ring of post-medieval date (AD 1600-1750). The object is composed of a circular band which has a rectangular section. The ring is plain apart from an inscription on the inside of the hoop which reads “Keepe faith till death” in italics. The edges of the ring are quite sharp, suggesting it was not worn for long before being deposited. The bezel of the ring consists of a thin oval shaped sheet of gold, which connects to the underside of the band.  Set onto the sheet is an oval setting of blue-green glass, the surface of which has broken away, within an oval-shaped gold collar with rounded edges.  Around the outer edge of the setting is an oval of twisted gold wire. The spoon comprises a sub-ovate bowl with an integral handle which extends from one end of the bowl, expanding to a wide rounded terminal.
