A fragment of a ceramic vessel possibly of Roman date, c.AD 43-410. The fragment is a sub-rectangular shaped probable base sherd of a wheel-thrown vessel. The fabric is grey with abundant inclusions and voids of varying sizes, from fine to large. The surfaces are unglazed and undecorated. One corner of the fragment bears traces of a light green and brown concretion. Finger impressions are visible on one side of the fragment.
The fragment is 62.9mm in length, 56.0mm in width, 12.5mm thick, and weighs 64.4g.

A fragment of a ceramic vessel of Post-Medieval date, c.AD 1600-1900. The fragment is a rectangular shaped body sherd from a slipware decorated vessel. The fabric is orange and abundant fine inclusions are present throughout. The outer surface is decorated with a cream slip which seems to represent foliage or flowers. Some of the slip has stained green. An overcoat of clear glaze covers the whole of the outer surface.
The fragment is 32.0mm in length, 25.0mm in width, 7.8mm thick, and weighs 8.9g.

A fragment of a wheel thrown ceramic vessel of Roman date, c.AD250-410. The fragment is a rim sherd from a Huntcliff calcite-gritted ware vessel. The fabric is dark brownish-black in colour with a pitted outer surface. Some calcite inclusions are present which are heterogeneous in size and visible where the rim has broken away from the body of the vessel. The fragment indicates that the vessel had an everted rim and bears a groove along the inside of the lip, either as a decorative feature or marking the place where a lid would rest.
