There is a crease across the centre.

On the obverse the bust is illegible; CAROL[VS] D G M B F[R ET H]I[B REX]. The reverse has a rounded oval garnished shield; [IVS T]H[RON]VM FIRM[AT]. Initial mark illegible. Probably Group D, North 2258. The coin is not flat with a section of the edge between 11 and 1 o'clock missing and a cut at 3 o'clock. Die axis 12 o'clock. It has a diameter of 15.83mm, a thickness of 1.16mm, and weighs 0.79g.
