A complete forged/wrought, relatively small, iron wavy rimmed horseshoe of Clark type 2B dating from the medieval period (c. 1150-1300). The shoe is crescent shaped and broadly rectangular in cross-section. The wavy outside edges consist of three rounded lobes while the inner edge is arched and also slightly correspondingly lobed. A fragment of cast copper-alloy Roman brooch, probably a Hod Hill variant, dating to the first century AD. The fragment comprises part of the lower bow, the foot and the broken catch plate. The surviving part of the bow is trapezoidal in shape and decorated on the upper surface with two slightly raised moulded horizontal bands. A cast copper alloy single loop D-shaped buckle dating to the Medieval period (c. AD 1250-1500). The buckle frame is square in cross-section with a narrowed and offset strap bar. The centre of the outside edge of the frame is moulded into a projecting square-shaped plate with a recessed groove where the terminal of the pin would have rested. There is a patch of iron corrosion on the strap bar, possibly from the now missing pin. The buckle measures 27mm in diameter and 3.5mm thick. It weighs 5 grams.
