A post-medieval lead-alloy whistle, dating to AD 1700-1900. The whistle measures 60.4mm in length and, being circular in cross section, between 14.32mm and 7.86mm in diameter. It weighs 19.84g. The patina is smooth with some damage in it, the colour is dark grey.
The mouth of the whistle is 6mm in diameter. From there, the main body of the whistle gets wider as it goes up. There are two sound-hole openings about 16.7mm up from the mouth. An incomplete and slightly bent post medieval cast lead powder flask cap, dating to the period AD 1600-1700. The cap measures 18.11mm in length and 29.94mm in width. It is 22.75mm wide and weighs 18.18g. The patina is rough, the colour is dark grey. There used to be two side loops, which are now missing. There is a 4mm long and 3mm wide hole in the side, which may be recent damage.
