A copper alloy medieval to post-medieval ring dating to the period AD c. 1100-1650. The ring is plain, circular and D shape in cross section. The edges are even, with the exception of an occasional dent. From similar rings across the PAS database, (WILT-ADDF06, WILT-6FE481 and WILT-02020E) it can be suggested that the object was probably part of a horse harness orother types of fittings such as a curtain ring. The ring measures 22.11mm in diameter, is 2.79mm thick and weighs 2.68g. The ring's frame differs in width, 3.53mm at its widest, 2.5mm at is narrowest spot.

An incomplete copper-alloy post medieval strap fitting, dating to the period AD 1600-1700. The fitting is 23.79mm in length and 6.98mm in width. It is 1.7mm thick and weighs 1.18g. The fitting consists of three different sized triangular shaped sections, the middle one a bit wider than the top one but broadly similar in shape, the lower one being the smallest. On the reverse are two integral lugs, one of which has broken off. The other one is about 4.96mm long and bent upwards. For a similar strap fitting cf. Brian Read, Metal Artefacts of Antiquity (2001) p.34 no.289.
