An incomplete Roman copper alloy Colchester derivative, Polden Hill brooch, group b (Bayley & Butcher, 2004; 91) dating AD 50 - 150. Only the head of the brooch remains. The bow is decorated with two parallel grooves running down the bow forming a simplistic crest. The wings are oval in cross section and decorated with ridges at each terminal. The iron spring is badly corroded. The rest of the brooch has a dark green patina. Length 24.36mm, width 26.50mm, thickness 14.74mm and weight 14.10g.

Post medieval pottery vessel sherds. One rim sherd, four base sherds and ten body sherds of Midlands Purple ware pottery (1600 - 1720). The fabric of the sherds is a hard earthware with small rounded and sub-angular inclusions of grit and quartz. The colour of the inclusions varies however most are of a light yellow or white colour. The colour of the fabric is a purple grey with some of the sherds coated in a dark purple slip that appears burnished in some areas. Weight 481.6g.

The fabric of the sherds is a hard earthenware with sub-angular inclusions or grit and quartz varying in colour from white to dark grey. The colour of the fabric is orange with some of the sherds glazed in a dark red brown slip and burnished, the inner fabric of the sherds is a lighter orange. Weight 478g.

A post medieval copper alloy umbonate harness mount. The mount is circular with a hollow backed central boss within a multifoil (sixteen foils) outer flange. The reverse of the mount shows the remains of three rivets in the outer foils. The mount appears to have no further decoration and is coated in a patchy light green patina. Diameter 31.27mm, thickness 13.61mm and weight 11.30g.

An incomplete and broken lead alloy toy gun (1600 - 1700). The toy is probably modelled on the petronel pistol that was popular in the 17th century (Forsyth & Egan, 2005: 97). The toy consists of a cylindrical barrel, powder pan and hollow decorated butt, the trigger of the gun appears to be missing. The butt is decorated on one side with diagonal ridges with three pellets between each ridge and a raised border containing the pattern. The toy has a beige patina. Length 61.99mm, width 11.03mm, thickness 7.01mm and weight 15.76g.

A post medieval copper alloy rowel spur (c. 1600 - 1700). Only the back of the heel and the rowel box survive. Most of the sides and both terminals are missing. The neck is divided into two sections about halfway up, one side has a rounded knop at the end while the other end has broken off just before the knop. The remaining knop is perforated for the missing rowel axle and there is some iron residue present within the perforation. The rowel is missing. An incomplete late-medieval to early post-medieval purse frame (c. 1450 - c. 1600). It fits into Williams Type 1A (2018, p. 2, fig. 3). The frame is L-shaped in cross-section with one clear circular sewing hole close to one terminal. The frame is decorated with double incised lines forming a zig-zag pattern on one of the outer edges. The frame has a slight curve to it but appears broken at both terminals. It has a dark green patina. Length 60.37mm, width 7.75mm, thickness 4.65mm and weight 8.62g.

It is most probably from the period 1050-950 BC which fits with Wilburton and Penard assemblages of the later Middle and earlier Late Bronze Age; this corresponds with Needham (1996) Period 5-6 fitting with Metalworking Assemblage X. A medieval copper alloy seal matrix, dating to the 14th century. The seal is circular with a hexagonal conical handle and a loop at the top. In the centre of the seal there is a cross rising from two lines within which are the letters 'ihc' for Jesus. The legend reads PRIVESV, meaning 'I am private'. The seal matrix has a dark green patina. Length 19.73mm, diameter 16.41mm and weight 6.09g. A similar example on the database is DENO-DC076F, however the motif in the centre of the seal is different.
